....turned 16 today, he is a great kid (can't get away with calling him that much longer). Got asked by his parents what he wanted to do for his birthday and he asked to go out for dinner with his mother and father and me and my better half. We drove up last night (they live a couple of hours away) and stayed. We had a great night and I picked on him without mercy, and he gave back as good as he got. Reminded him that when I was "his age" I was living on my own and working part time along with finishing high school...

He got some seriously GREAT gifts as well. He has been lusting after my SYKCO Regulator since he first saw and handled it sooooo I started looking around and, thanks to Gunfixerjoe here scored him a pristine De-Reg, he was going to get it for Christmas but he is getting an SLR Nikon from his parents for Christmas so I figured it was easier for me to get him gear for that then, so I "wrapped" the SYKCO is a Clinical Waste bag and gave it to him last night. He was pretty damn happy. He also scored a ZT350 and Leatherman from his parents along with a magazine extension for his Remington 700 and a Fenix light. We had a ball and I am proud to have been a part of his life. Though his mum (she is Sicilian) sometimes questions my influence (generally when they have had to attend his school over some of his better moments) she is still pretty happy with HER choice of Godfather for him.
