That's a beauty! Thnx for sharing those pics, Skunk.

I thought this was a family forum. You better be careful or thatMguy will get after you. Oh, never mind...

I think Skunk was just baiting some poor sucker to post the jerkit smilie, which would, of course, be perfectly appropriate here. Perhaps Skunk was just trying to demonstrate the absurdity of thatmguy's claim that the jerkit smilie "adds nothing material that the 'rolleyes' can not."

no really! i just take my sheath and get it wet, then i stick my smog in it and vicki hand bones the leather to fit the blade perfectly!

Sounds like a great method. I'll have to see if I can get my wife to try it.

Have a great time fishing and tell Mrs. Skunk we appreciate all her efforts at the BCS site last night (We appreciate your's too, but we all know that you make Vicki do all the hard work).

Apparantly as long as its not Zardoz or the "jerk it" smilie then I guess everything else is fine.

Does Vicki have a sister ?

She did a pretty good job Scott, does she use real bone, antler or a nylon tool? Is she using water? I like to use rubbing alcohol, less risk of rust that way I am told. Don't forget to treat the leather after boning it, especially if she used water.

Man those satin SMOGs are sweet!

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking.

Great minds, etc.

Clearwater River
It's almost time, the fish are starting to move and folks are catching a few fish! Some fishermen are backtrolling plugs in the lower river, but as the fish and fishermen move up the river they are using bobber and jigs tipped with shrimp. NOTE: Until October 15th, the Clearwater River upstream of Memorial Bridge (U.S. Highway 12) at Lewiston is catch-and-release fishing only.

It looks like they do...
