... being a gentle rant about international mail delivery and the timing thereof...
My good wife gets some health supplements from a US firm, and two recently we had to re-order when her supply started to drop. Only thing she's found that helps her sleep ... there are long stories behind that!
Of course, she didn't mention to me that her dear last little pill bottle was emptying out 'till it was almost done ... aaarrgh. Now she's going sleepless ... and going postal ... and I'd best stand clear.
The stuff's been shipped, says the distributor. How long will it take? If it takes a week for something to get as far as Maine, it will take 2 more weeks to jump the border and travel the extra 100 miles to my door ... no matter who the shipper is. If Makes a guy want to get a post-office box on the other side of the border, and take a drive.
I can't help but be jealous of you US cantinistas on that score. I turn green when I hear that a DOTD has arrived within 2 days of payment ... doesn't happen if things cross borders. If patience is a virtue ... maybe I need to get a bit more virtuous!
