Will be in Boise tomorrow and plan on stopping by the Chris Reeve shop. Asked for their hours, and got an email back inviting me to tour (after I mentioned that I was on BF).

Tremendously nice folks. I am going to take some knives with me to have sharpened, but I am afraid I won't be able to buy anything while I am there. I don't think they sell blems, and I can't really drop $400 on a blade with kids being on summer break and having to travel a lot.

Anything special I should look for while I am there ?

I am going to take some pics and post them if successful. :)

I'm in Indiana if you wanna snag me too...I smell road trip!

On a realistic note, take a ton of pics for us!

Only 4 1/2 hours from home for me. Have to attend a real hillbilly wedding in Nampa (wife's side of the family :o).

I would love to drop a grand, but:

1) I would like to stay married
2) Single income with three kids
3) I would like to stay married

I have never handled one in person - only seen pics. Can't wait.

If they could scrounge me up a blem out of the back, I promise not to tell anyone ever - really ;).

I have been to Buck, SOG, and Benchmade. Gerber and Kershaw are also close, but do not have factory stores. Haven't made it to Rowen yet.

Want to hit up Primary Weapons Systems while I'm there if possible, but CRK is my first stop after hitting town.

When are you going to be there!? I'm headed there in the morning to pick up some blades I left to have sharpened, maybe I'll see you there! ;) I've done the tour, as I live about 20 mins away, you'll love it! Great folks. Enjoy your stay in Boise. PWS is worth a stop as well, I have yet to find an AR I love more than my PWS MK116.

Excellent to hear you're touring the CRK shop - look forward to pics.

It was a good tour when I went last year while in Boise, pretty cool that they do it for us. Plus not sure that it happens on all tours but when I went Chris is the one that gave me my tour.

Pics attached below - best I could get with my little camera.

I was thouroughly impressed. People and facility were outstanding. I was just some guy from the forum, but was treated like family.

I was given a tour by the production manager - Top Notch Guy and OCD about details - a trait that I share. I have been a Registered Quality Assurance Professional (RQAP-GLP), and these guys ooze quality.

Was actually introduced to Mr. Reeve, which was quite unexpected. An honor to meet one of the leaders in the industry, and a true gentleman. Pretty humbling.

I did not take or post any photos of Mr. Reeve or the staff members out of respect.

They do indeed sharpen knives for you for a nonimal fee as well as have their products in the display available for sale - got a few done while I was there, and they kindly worked on them while I toured and had them done when I left. Extremely happy with the results.

I recommend a stop if you can get there. Bring some cash, buy some world class cutlery, and meet some of the nicest folks around. All Made in USA.

Mr. Reeve - Bravo.

Thanks for the pictures. I would love to visit their shape someday. I wonder why there was a nominal fee to sharpen
your knives. Their website says they do it free of charge, all you need to pay for is return shipping. Was it because they did it for you while you waited?

Oh man, really great pics...thanks a ton for posting these. I always was curious to see "headquarters."
