I'm going to Colorado Springs this weekend for the AF vs Navy football game. I'm looking for ideas on stuff to do. Thoughts?

Here is my post in the Community Center. I just wanted to ask here since I know you guys and you (hopefully) know me by now. If I shouldn't have posted it here, feel free to let me know. If the thread needs to be shut down or moved, I won't take it personally.

So, Beckerheads, what would you do?

Becker Content: I will probably bring my BK-2 along, but I'm also bringing my wife along... Therefore I will probably not bust it out unless I find any awesome targets-of-opportunity.

Plenty of fun things to do in the Springs. If you like Indian food, I highly recommend Mirch Masala, on Union and Academy. It's probably the best Indian restaurant in the state. Or, if you want to drop a bit more cash, but want an amazing meal (and a happy wife), the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou is the best place to go. It's supposed to be one of the most romantic restaurants in the state. My wife and I go there for most of our special meals out (anniversaries and the like). If you are looking for more details or other types of restaurants, I have plenty of recommendations :)

Garden of the Gods is a nice little hike, and Pikes Peak is a common tourist attraction. There may also be other events and such going on at the Pikes Peak community center or at the World Arena. Also, how are you getting to Colorado Springs? If you pass through south Denver/Parker, you are welcome to stop by and make a knife and/or have a meal with my wife and I.

Between the 2 threads, it's been said. If you have not seen the Royal Gorge, that is a must-do.

Post pictures, so that I can live vicariously thru ya (deployed at the moment)! :)

Whups, missed the other thread. Brain must not have been on. Hey, where did you go to school, out of curiosity? USAFA? UCCS? CC? Or something else?

I'm a CC grad, and my wife's in the AF now. We live about 45 mins away from the Springs.
