So I am a spyderco mini-fanatic, and I'm taking a spring break ski trip to breckenridge in march. I really wana go to the spyderco HQ, and have even thought of making a special trip just for that. My question is, on the way home driving to Denver, how far out of the way is golden? We are heading back to MN and will be heading NE out of Denver. I am not sure how my roommate will feel about going out of the way just to feed my addiction, so I hope it's not too far. I know it will be worth it for me, but the trick is talking my roommate into it.
 
Its only about 20-25 mins west of I-25. On Spyderco way. How can he not want to see that.
 
I go there all the time,when you leave Breckenridge and are heading east on I-70 once you start to pull out of the foothills(just west of Lakewood) you will see directions for Hwy 6 take this road which will turn into Hwy 93, from the time you leave I-70 to the Spyderco outlet store it's a total of about 5 miles ,it's on the left hand side right of the road . If possible check google maps you'll see Golden just as described.

Nice! I was thinking it was more like an hour. I'm sure he wont be able to say no :) Now the question is will I have enough money left at the end of the trip. Does anyone know if there is somewhere along the way I can sell plasma ;)
 
Biteme is right. You will take i70 west up to breck. SFO is about 15 minutes or so from I70 and 6th ave . Prices are always better online, but there is something special a out buying a Spydie directly from SFO:D
 
Yeah, I really wana check it out. Even if I don't buy anything, it will give me a chance to handle some models I don't get the chance to see in person round here. My dad lives about a half hour from benchmade, and we stopped out there and I like spyderco much better :) So I wouldn't be much of a fan if I didn't at least take a little peak :D
 
You have to go:D

Just be ready to fondle all of the spydies for at least an hour. When you get back home I bet you add at least 5 more spydies to your want list! Be sure to at least buy one spydie directly from SFO though as a keepsake.
 
I will make sure to save some cash for at least 1, and I need a sticker for my car as well :)
 
It isn't too far. Trust me, it is an experience though.

When I went there it was a sensory overload with all of the Spydies that I never knew existed at my fingertips. My situation is better though, I only need to drive a few minutes from my house to get there :D

Bring lots of cash, there is nothing more frustrating than finding a gem and not having enough pocket change to take it with you. Do some searching online, find what you like, and handle it in the store for future reference.

I have already done plenty of research :D I want em all, but handling some might change their position on my priority list :D
