Going To The Fair

We are going to the Will County Fair today, have not been there in years! Going to take my grandson and grandaughters. My plans are to eat! Corn dogs, cotton candy, barbeque pork chops, fries, and corn on the cob. It`s nice and cool here today, mid sixties.

bbq pork chops.....oh baby that sounds great. The LA county fair is coming soon. I haven't been there in years, I think I'm going to try and make it this year.

I hope you had an elephant ear for me.
It's been a long time since I was at a fair and that is the one thing I miss.
 
Elephant ears, apple dumplings with cinnamon and ice cream, corn dogs, BBQ pork chops, you name it, if it could not outrun me, I ate it! The kids had fun on the rides and playing games, it was a good day.

Sounds like a good time. There's nothing like overpriced, unhealthy, and delicious food from a fair. We're going to a flea market next weekend that has almost the same atmosphere as a fair:http://www.vfw1115fleamarketgunshow.com/ We will spend two days and not see everything but we will get to try all kinds of food. The deep fried pickles were unbelievably good last year.
 
Sounds like a fantastic time. SWMBO says they have chocolate covered bacon at the Oregon State fair this week. Did you see that at your fair?

Did not see that. It`s not a real big fair, just Will county, where I live. It`s about 15 miles from me.
 
Those are often the most fun. I live in a small county that has few people. The fairs are a blast!

Where are the pics John ?

In Canada we call them Beaver tails instead of Elephant ears !!!:thumbup:
 
Pork chops sound good.

Only 8:00 here in Rooville... still got some time to light up the coals.
