Going to the "Forum" page locks up IE8

I can surf BladeForums by using my Favorites shortcuts or change areas by using the drop-down quick navigation tool at the bottom of each page, but if I go to the main Forums page, Internet Explorer locks up solid as a rock and takes a long time to get shut down.

You're right, it does. You can update to I.E. 9 or try another browser. I've been using the Forum Categaries tab myself.

Very old news. The only thing you can do is what Yab suggests, there are around6-7 threads on this explaining different scenarios that all end up the same way.

Thanks for your polite response. I looked through all of the threads showing in this section (using default viewing settings; only two pages of threads) and didn't see any mention of the problem.

I guess it may finally be time to ditch OE and try Mozilla....

Yes, I hadn't realized most of the threads have dropped off the current pages, the problem has been going on since late December or early January. I downloaded SRWare Iron (Google Chrome without all the Google spyware and crap) and it has no problem with the Forum tab, but I still use I.E.8 most of the time. I just bookmarked the Home page and navigate with the Forum Categories tab instead of using the Forum tab.
