Hello everyone!

I'll be traveling to Las Vegas in February and I like to pick up a knfie on a trip instead of tourist trinkets. Are there places on or near the strip to check out? This is my first trip to Nevada!

I'd be looking for something like a Delica or Endura or a kitchen knife, that knid of thing. Thanks!

when are you going? There is a knife show in Feb. in Vegas.

I was there a little while back and picked up a Spyderco CF Police at Bond's. It's a ways off of the strip, but accessible if you have a car. The other place I heard about, but didn't have time to get to is Blanchard's Cutlery, 3507 S Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89109, (702) 733-8333, which is closer to the strip. Still not really walking distance though.

Blanchard's is no longer in business, I went there last August and it was gone.
I also visited the other shop mentioned in this thread [Bonds House of Cutlery], boy they have a ton of knives, but as I remember, pretty expensive. I ended up at another place way off the strip, on Decatur Blvd I think in one of those strip malls, can't remember the name, where I ended up overpaying for a CRKT knife because I hadn't done my online research on prices. Oh well, live and learn. I wanted a knife to carry because I felt lost without it, and then mailed it back home to avoid the tsa at the airport.

I live here guys and trust me there is no knife shop here that I would recommend. Especially Bonds, way way over priced. I hear it is also on the sale block. Who would buy all that inventory is beyond me.
The custom knife show is the same weekend as SHOT. The Las Vegas Classic will be at Mandalay Bay.

Bonds is the only place with any selection but they sell at MSRP and will not budge! My advice...wait for the show or order online. PGH~

Yes, Bonds is MSRP, BUT, they have some very very hard to find spydercos. some of the other brands of knives may have been rare also, but I'm not that familiar with them.

Bonds is MSRP at the very least. She has some discontinued knives which she sells way over MSRP! You won't get a deal there but you certainly have choices! When I started getting back into knives, I payed $60 for a Buck Nighthawk there, darn. She has lots of kitchen knives! You will not believe your eyes when you go in there. Shelf after shelf, piled with knives, three deep. You can't even see half of them. BTW she wants $99 for Blur

The only other place that has much of any selection is Bass Pro Shop's Outdoor World. It's on the backside of the Silverton Hotel on I-15 a few miles South of the main strip area. I don't think they carry any Spyderco's though. I know they carry Kershaw, Benchmade and Case. Nice clean displays where you can see everything. No kitchen knives though. They want $75 for a Blur.

The Gun Store on East Tropicana, just East of Eastern (about 3 miles off the strip) carries Cold Steel, Camillus and CRKT. Sometimes they have some odd, wonderful find, like, I got a Camillus CQB2 there, cheap. Try not to go on Wednesday because that is concealed weapons training day and they are busy as hell. There's hardly room to turn around. It's a small store anyway. The display case is difficult to peer into due to all the fluorescent lights glaring off of it. The selection is rather small but the prices are real decent.

MSRP is understandable, but above!?

BTW, Blanchard's is long gone. It changed into R&J Cutlery for a while and then closed down. Very rough neighborhood! (like bodyparts in the dumpsters rough! )
