My first time.
Going for the ISC West conference april 6-8

I know about the Hoover dam, the Grand Canyon.
and of course... The Gun Store.

what else is worthy of checking out while there?
also, might as well ask what the knife carry law is, even thought I'll probably just bring my alox Vic Soldier.

Nevada is not a nanny state. About the only restrictions are switchblades, belt-buckle knives. Check out the world famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. What? You never heard of it? What? Do you live under a rock?:D

rent a car
check out red rock canyon
hoover dam sorta sucks - and grand canyon is 4 hours away.
u can rent kayaks beneath hoover dam if you are into it - google it

Red Rock is worth checking out, even if you just take the scenic drive, and Valley of Fire is freaking wild. Search my username for threads started in the last few weeks for some pics. Guess I wouldn't have minded taking in a show, and watching the fountains at the Bellaggio again if time had allowed, but really don't care much about Vegas itself. I did get a Double Double combo at In-N-Out, so the trip wasn't an entire waste :D
Agree Hoover Dam kinda sucked last year after just seeing Bryce and Zion National Parks for the first time. Out of almost 700 pics from that trip, I took maybe 20(and kept about 5) from the dam.

Hi jamesmtl -

Valley of Fire / Red Rock Scenic drive is outstanding. $7 per car for a day pass.

Dinner at the Top of the World in the Stratosphere is also a great time, figure $100 per person there. This was the view from our table this past February when my wife and I were in Vegas:

You can also bungee jump from the top of the tower (839 feet) if you want, that is $100 per person per jump.

The Pawn Stars place was small and dingy - but people were lined up there almost every day to get in.

I guess is you just have to have that $37 "Chum Lee" shirt, you'll have to go there....

You could see a show - Blue Man Group is a great time - and so is the Penn and Teller Show -

You could visit the Ferrari/Maserati store at the Wynn - the no-picture rule is strictly enforced...

I really love a place called Casa Don Juan - it is on Main no too far from the Stratosphere - great Mexican style food and margaritas...and not too spendy either.

The Red Rock Harley Davidson is one of the finest, nicest Harley shops I have ever seen anywhere -

How about an Obama Pedicure? Just run out Charleston and there she be!

My wife and I like to get out there at least once a year - it is an adult oriented disney-land.

BTW - Here was my edc combo for the week this time, I put them in my checked baggage.
