Found a parcel in the mailbox yesterday containing three GoingGear firesteels.
A Wolf and a Badger with firecaps and a Badger without a cap but drilled on one end.
The Wolf is enormous and will look perfect mounted on the side of my Becker Brute's sheath.
The Badger with cap is going into my BOB and the uncapped Badger is tucked in alongside the Leatherman Surge on my belt for edc.
The caps are far larger than I expected but I prefer them this size. A lot of pjcbs will fit inside one.
I didn't get to do a very complete test but I did tear off a 1"x1" piece of cotton napkin and just laid it flat in my ashtray. The capped Badger lit the damn thing with no fluffing of any kind.
Hopefully this weekend I can get out and try them in the woods.
So far, I couldn't be more pleased.
