I haven't seen anything yet on this here (although I haven't searched too hard, so forgive me if this thread is redundant), but being on Benchmade's mailing list, I received an interesting email the other day. It outlined a competition and the respective prizes for finishing in certain positions. Apparently the top 3 finishers will win a "Limited Edition" Gold Class Crooked River.

Just wondering if anyone had more info on the knife in question, or if it'll also be made available through regular channels after the contest ends; similar to how the Ultimate Experience Limited Edition Mini Crooked River (15085DLC-1801) from last year made it's way to several dealers after the end of the contest.

Benchmade Benchmade ?

No clue, but WOW, that CR is beautiful. It makes my regular one look boring, lol.

I'm usually not a huge fan of the gold class offerings but BM has outdone themselves on this one.

The knife is the 15080-191 Gold Class. Crowned 20CV blade, Damasteel Vinland bolsters, unidirectional carbon fiber handles, blue sapphire PVD hardware, titanium backspacer.

It really is awesome! https://www.hunttheweb.com/

Not sure if you know the answer to this/are able to share this, but are there any plans for these to be sold? Or are there only 3 available solely for the contest winners? Just wondering about their general availability...

They will sell a limited quantity I’m sure and quite a few will go to the scalpers as usual! Thank goodness for the service they provide the general marketplace.

Depending on when they're generally available and how much cash I have to spend at the time, I might look into one of these, but with the cost of entry for a Benchmade Gold Class knife being as high as they usually are, there's no way I'd be able to afford buying one at an even higher price than MAP from someone reselling.

They’ll hold on to one, NIB, until you decide which body part you don’t need/can sell!
