Hi y'all,

I really like the gold coating on my Crosslock, and I was wondering if there was a place where I could send my Spyderco Cricket to have it receive the same treatment.

Thanks,
John

John, I think you're out of luck there. The process requires high heat (about 800 degrees) for an extended period and the handles would be gone by the time it was done. The knife isn't the type that could be dismantled and reassembled so there is no way to do it.

It is a good coating and it works as advertized but it has to be bought on the specific production knives that Buck sells. The company that does this doesn't take blades on an individual basis now.
