Can anybody tell me anything abouth the Gold Crosslock Buck Folder. I am looking to sell it and do not have any info on it. The knife is in perfect shape, but no box or information.

Please help.

It sounds like you have one of Buckcote / Ionfusion models. These have a titanium nitride coating and are sharpened on one side only. The reason is that the ti-nitride coating is very hard and in tests, held an edge several times longer than a standard 420HC blade. There were several models made with different blade / tool configurations. Most of them seem to sell in the $30 - 45 range. I hope that helps.

Thanks for offering information. I'm not sure that is it though. It looks like it is a gold color and it is definately sharpened on both sides. It isn't just the blade that is colored, it is the clip, thumb stub, internal liner lock (mechanics).

thanks though,

Rich

Larry,

Thanks again for the information. You were right. I did a search in ebay for buckcote and it showed the finish that I have on mine.

Sorry to have doubted you "oho great one...." hehe,

Rich
