G'day all, just completed this latest iteration of my Persian style fighter. As with previous builds I have kept the skull theme on the bolsters. Working with engraver Marcello Pedini, we decided to take it up a notch and inlay gold skulls instead of just having them engraved.
The blade steel is Takefu VG10 core san mai and the blade is hollow ground and with a tapered tang. The bolsters are 416 stainless. The settings for the Garnet cabochons are also stainless. The domed pins are brass, sadly pockets weren't deep enough for gold. Scales are lovely cream coloured stabilized Giraffe with thin black liners. OAL is 12" X 7" blade.
