I just got my Gold TiNi Keshaw Leek (model#:1660GLD) in the mail. It is a beautiful knife and it really impressed me much more than I had anticipated. I was wondering if any of you know how many of these were produced. I haven't been able to find any solid numbers on-line. Thanks in advance.

Here are a couple pictures I took for those of you who haven't seen one.

If you bought it from Ebay and it was listed as "Gold Plated" it is not. I've contacted a seller there more than once about that.
It is Gold TiNi coated. Just like the VIB Leeks are Rainbow TiNi coated.
As to your question,

1660GLD Polished Gold TiNi Blade & Handle 1233 Pieces

1660GLDST Polished Gold TiNi Blade & Handle/CE 677 Pieces :)

Thanks very much.... thats much less than I thought. I know its not actually gold plated...the price would be significantly higher if it was. "Gold Plated" just seems to be a commonly used term despite being a misnomer. I corrected my O.P.

It would be sweet if it actually was plated though. Or solid.
Solid gold!!? I wonder what kind of edge retention it would have...probably too soft. Fully gold plated would be amazing! Or Kershaw could go all out and have one with gold and silver plated tiger stripes all over.:D

The coating is TiN not TiNi. Titanium nitride is a Particle Vapor Deposition coat that is used on blades and handles. Titanium Nickel is not a compound or a blade coating.
