hey guys - just got my nmsfno - and like everyone else who has one - i love it... only thing i had a question about is the logo. on the ash1 the busse logo appears to be gold - is this because it was the anniversary model? i was kinda hoping the sfno with matching colors would have the same style logo... here are a couple pics to show you what i am talking about.... (did any color combo come with the gold lettering?)

here it is on the ETS. One of each. I felt like the gold was like gettng the prize in a box of cracker jacks:D

THe bottom one leaves for Afghanistan in 7 days.

To me it looks like a slightly thicker than normal coating, resulting in the laser etch not quite hitting bare metal?

That gold sure pops more then the black, its fancy..or maybe it is just what they had in stock to do em up with!?

I remember Jerry posting an explanation a while back in the Scrapyard forums when the SS4 came out. Something about lazer etching on the bevel can sometimes look gold on INFI. Sounded plausable to me at the time since my lazer etched SS4 logos were silver on the flats and gold where the logo transitioned to the bevel grind.

I think it's faulty. Luckily, I will, for no charge, use the blade till the coating is gone and the engraving contrast no longer matters. PM me and I'll send you shipping info.

All three of the INFI blades I own ,,,, BAD ASH1 an NMSFNO , have the gold logo's.... a sage coating a green and a nekid...... all were purchesed in the last 3 weeks. Whatsit mean ???????? ,,,,,,,,,,,, dunno
