gold membership not activating

Hi I am in Canada and upgraded my membership to a gold membership on Monday or Tuesday I can't remember. I paid with PayPal and it went through but my membership has not been changed. can anybody help me?
 
You're all set.

Please update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership.To do this Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update.
