Gold membership purchased for the wrong account

Long story short, I've had this account here since 2002 but did not frequent the forums much. I recently became more active, and having totally forgotten about the account, made a new one with the username jlaw305. I subsequently remembered that I had this account (it was linked to an old, non-functional email) and amazingly, also remembered the password. I'd like to use my original account and delete the newly-created one.

There is, however, a catch.

Fast forward a few days, I go to purchase gold membership, but stupidly did not look to see which account was logged in. So - I accidentally purchased it using the jlaw305 account, which as noted above, I do not want to use. Can the membership be transferred to this account, which is my original account? I've read the rules about purchasing memberships for someone else, but that's a little different from the situation I find myself in.

I sent a PM to Spark explaining what had happened - anything else I can / need to do?

Thanks!

I posted that reply with the erroneously-created new account as a light-hearted way of proving that I do in fact own both accounts. So I'm not sure what you mean - unless you were making a joke as well, lol.

:d ;)

Of course a joke. Me explaining this now proves that Legion 12 is my alternative account which I want to delete as well.
Wine and Cheese anybody?

Doh.

Contacting Spark was the right way to go. Merging the accounts under the old name but with the new email will clear up the problem.

I think I just screwed up again. I checked the jlaw305 account to see if Spark had replied to my PM... I looked in the sent items folder but saw nothing! I could have sworn I sent it, but guessed that maybe I didn't click send? So I sent him another, and as I'm clicking send I notice that sent messages aren't saved in the sent items folder by default. So, Spark, if I did PM you twice, sorry about that.
