Gold Membership Question Thread Number 5,000

Well I went to the tech support area and looked for a sticky on how to do a gold membership. Nothing there. Somone pointed me to the general site FAQ that had the link to where to go pay the money.... Now Im searching for what step two three four and five are. Seems like there would be a place that is easy to find that lists all of the steps needed to become officially gold.

It shouldnt be this hard. Please point mw to the instructions for how to get my gold membership going now that Ive paid. In the, how to get a gold membership section" of the GENERAL FAQ it said nothing other than, here is where you go to pay us money. Id like to post my stuff on the exchange as soon as possible and i dont have all day to do multiple searches for these instructions.

Like I said, I assume the info is out there, but when i do a forum search on "how to become a gold member" no sticky pops up and the general FAQ doesnt seem to contain all the info needed.
 
It looks like i can poat now in the exchange because i see the button. I remember running across other people getting answers on the other things i needed to do with my status identification but dont know specifically what the things i needed to do were.
 
You need to update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership.To do this

Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update your group display
 
FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions
Doesn't really get much simpler than that. Some of the stuff in the FAQ could use some refreshing though.
