Gold Membership question

I purchased a Gold Membership on 11/3/11..How long does it take to go into affect..See below..

Paypal transactions are entered in manually, as opposed to the standard method. This takes a couple of days, it might be a couple more since it is the middle of the weekend. Congrats on going gold.

You already have private messaging enabled, so your Gold is in effect. Click on "Settings" at the top right of the page, then "Permission Groups" in the menu on the left, then the dot by "Identify me as a member of this group" on the Gold Member line, then the "Update Display Group" button and you're done.
