Gold Membership upgrade error?

Hello,

I have just tried to upgrade my membership twice with PayPal credit card (sorry if this is the issue), but after submitting my info. the payment site first stated my address was not matching (I recently moved and haven't confirmed my new address, but it is listed on PayPal as my shipping address), so I tried my old address and it didn't work then either. I was just about to use another credit card, when I received an email from PayPal with a receipt for $25.00 paid to onestopknifeshop.com. When signing into PayPal and clicking the details page for this transaction, it shows a pending $25.00 charge and a completed $25.00 charge. Is this just one charge or two? Also if the payment did go through how/when can I have my membership upgraded? Please advise, and also let me know if I am doing something wrong. BTW I too hate PayPal.
 
When you tried to put through a payment with a different address, 1SKS wouldn't accept it. But your bank (PayPal) is holding the money. The pending charge will reverse itself/clear in a couple of days. The other charge may have gone through.

I would wait till Monday. Then click on your username to see if the drop-down menu shows private messsaging is enabled. That will confirm your payment got through. You then need to go to your User CP, down the left side to Group Membership, and click on your new member level.
 
I'm only seeing one attempt, which failed due to AVS error. We haven't collected any funds from you.
 
What is an AVS error?

Below is from my account on PayPal. It is still showing a pending $25.00 charge and a completed $25.00 charge. Should I dispute this with PayPal. Checking my balance book, $50.00 has been deducted from my PayPal account.
FYI: I am the one that *** the first 13 numbers on the transaction ID #.

Please advise what you think I should do?

AVS means address verification. We ask for your billing address when you sumit your card as an anti fraud step. I'm pretty sure the FAQ covers this.

We don't have your moneys. When there is an AVS error, it's viewed as a decline by out bank. That "pending" charge isn't going to go through. I don't know when paypal is going to release your funds. Solution? Use a card other than paypals, they are jacked up.

PP holds funds everytime the card is run, whether it went through or not. This happens to me a couple times a week as the clerks at the gas station I go to have no clue how to work the card reader. The money should reappear in a few days.
 
cool deal, wasn't trying to doubt you BF, everyone here has always acted honestly IMO. was just seeking out info while providing accurate info on my part so I know if I should blast PayPal's customer service.

Just a quick tag on here, how do I know when it's time to pay up again? I keep looking for it, but probably keep missing it.

Click on the "Upgrade your ..." link at the top of the page. It should have your expiration date listed.
