Good evening, I purchased a gold membership last month around the tenth and I've never received the membership. As I have some knives I would like to sell I spoke with Charlie C and he informed me this would be the best place to inquire, whenever you get a brief moment please contact me by email. Thankyou!

From the Paid Syubscriptions page:

After you've paid for your subscription REMEMBER TO CHANGE YOUR USERGROUP in the control panel by clicking on the Group Memberships link.

So, go to http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups and click on your proper membership to update your color and title.

(I clicked on your name to bring up your profile and saw Private Messaging had been authorized, so I knew the paid membership was effective.)

Same Issue, but when I click through to change user group I get "There are currently no public usergroups available for you to join."
I paid for my Gold sub. through paypal about 3 hours ago.

TacticalAnt, credit card payments go through automatically. It can take a few days for Spark to enter PayPal memberships, since it has to be done manually. Also, he is at SHOT this week ans the weekend is coming up.

EB, It would have been nice to know about the CC vs. Paypal, I was under the impression Paypal was the best method.
Can I get a refund on my Paypal payment and then use CC?
It kind of sucks to wait.

I don't think the wait will be long. I doubt Spark will do a refund, though. We didn't take payPal at all for a long time, but so many people wanted to use it, Spark set it up. Complaints about it aren't going to impress him.

We know Bladeforums is large and takes time to learn to navigate. When you click on Paid Subscriptions in the header, it directs you to Paypal users can click here to purchase their subscription.

This leads to the FAQ with the PayPal link, and the lines:
Please allow up to 72 hours for your membership to be activated!
Please note - paypal pricing reflects a $5 service charge since your membership must be manually activated.

A lot of these mix-ups could be avoided by reading the FAQ.

I am pretty sure it says wait up to 72 hrs right under the PayPal button lol. Now him being at the shot show explains why it is taking more than 72 hours even for me. Let's wait boys!

Already taken care of.
