Gold membership

I believe a gold membership is 30$ a year. This helps support the forum. You can also private message and post pictures. Also allows you to sell items. May be other benefits but I believe those are the basics.

That's pretty much it. Spark created it as an "enhanced" basic membership. It allows photo posting and messaging, but at a lower amount than a Knifemaker level. Sort of an entry level drug for knifemaking junkies ;).

I couldn't even find anything about it- just memberships starting at "Knifemaker, etc."
Thanks

Thats because all memberships below your current level don't display in the available list:thumbsup:

Also, per the rules Gold members cannot promote, display, or especially sell any items they personally made.

Gold is the minimum account level needed to sell items on the forum, and is an upgrade in most respects over the Basic membership as well.

Beyond the meaning in the Austin Powers movie by that name, I took it to be a certification of skill, roughly on par with ABS JS...

Not if they let me buy a knifemaker membership :D

Membership level is not any indictor of skill, and should not be construed as such. Anyone 14 years of age or older can become a forum member and can buy any level membership they desire.

I had thought Spark was going to eliminate the Gold Level Membership.
