Gold or Silver tube fasteners?

Just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason as to which knives get gold and which get silver tube fasteners. When I look around at pics it mostly depends on the model, but most pics I see the SH-E has gold colored fasteners and mine has silver (which I like better with the grayish micarta). Could it depend on that particular Micarta shade/pattern? or maybe just whats in stock?

they make the tube fasteners in house so it probably isn't a stock issue. i believe they use the color that busse thinks looks best.

Silver is (I thought) usually for variants/special knives. You got lucky with that SH
