Gold Question

I just updated my Gold member ship today and had a quick question. The Signature works fine as do the other features, but I'm trying to figure out how to get a custom title under my name.
Examples:
Dylside has "KnifeMaker"
Cougar Allen has "Buccaneer"
Bastid has "Platinum Mod of goat herds and offical cat herder"
and so on. Or is this for Platinum and above members?
 
Platinum members can change their title at will. Any others can have it done for a fee. I think it is $10 to change your own and $20,000 to change someone else's. It's in the FAQ somewhere.
 
Okay, last question: can a Gold Member close (lock) a thread they've started? Or is that Platinum too?

By the way. The best "sub title" I've ever seen on this forum was Zen's old "You're obviously concussed" paired up with his sneering Cheney avatar. That was greatness.

If this is an option for a platinum member then it's news to me. I just went to a thread that I started earlier today and didn't see an option to close/lock the thread. It has the usual "you MAY post new replies, you MAY edit your posts" qualifiers at the bottom of the page but no "lock" button anywhere that I can see. The way I understand it, going platinum gives you more attachment storage, bigger avatar photo, more PM storage, and the ability to change your subtitle. Other than that, if platinum has any other benefits over gold, I'm unaware of it.

Go to Thread Tools, you can lock it from there.
I'm unaware if it's an option for lowly Gold members. :D

Why yes Doug, We lowly gold members can close threads.
(we really need a "flippin da bird" smiley) :D:D
 
Hey wow! It's there. Just like you said. We platinum members have THE POWER. Yikes! Cue the scary movie laugh... :D
