Gold to higher subcription

Want to contribute to the site at as Gold member again but there's a good chance I may be at the knife maker status and need that subscription before the year is through. How would that work? Would it work?

Maybe if that time comes within the year we can work out a price on the difference for the remainder of the year for knife maker status and then add-on another year on top?
