Golden Blade

One of the Kagas Katne (paper cutter) I purchased
last week has a slightly golden-color blade.

Anyone know where this color comes from?

Had the sudden impulse to find a magnet And found
that the blade is NON-ferrous/magnetic.

So...........Brass?

What's brass here?

Some percent of copper; and what else?

What would they use as a source? Shell casings?

Very interesting - some one must have decided to use, as you say, something non-ferrous. Brass is, I believe, copper and zinc (bronze is copper & tin?).
