All I have to say is WOW!
I had ordered a 15" Sirupati by Bura and I am so impressed!
The blade feels light in my hand, and the balance is great.
(Its kind of a mix between the kobra and the ang khola.)

When I opened the famous triangle package the handle looked so small, and my first thought was "Is this really a 15" knife?"
However the slim horn handle fit my hand perfectly and as I pulled the rest of the sirupati out of its packaging - I had to remember how huge the villagers, M43 and Kobra I have are.
Strange, I never thought there would be a time when I could look at a 15" knife and say 'hey thats kinda small'.;)

Perfect horn handle and magic stone mirror blade. BUT - my jaw dropped when I saw that the Sword of Shiva design had intricate wave lines etched up its entire length and on each side were two patches of a jagged gold design in the center!

This knife is absolutely beautiful!:D :D

Thank you so much Uncle Bill, you have made my Christmas with this gift. I continue to be so impressed with Bura's work and wish you, him and the rest of the HI crew the best.:) :)

Am I the only one who hasn't recieved their latest order? :(

It will be here tomorrow! I just know it!

I haven't either, but with all the holidays, I don't expect to see it till the New Year...

'course I live in Canada, that might have something to do with it:D

Thanks for report from the field -- but I think it's brass rather than gold. However, with Bura you never know.

They feel great in the hand dont they? I beheaded a stand of banana trees (no buffalo in sight, so I had to make do) the next day after receiving mine. Light, fast, and deceptively strong for the narrow blade.

My fiancee says its almost pornographic the way I fuss with my Sirupati. Having been around the cantina and being subtly brainwashed by the pictures, I'm looking forward to an 18" Sirupati as my ultimate khukuri.

There goes Uncle, Again. Throwing that old fishin line out and going to reel it in. :D I've been snagged a few times, but he's good, always throws me back in to catch again.:)

I figured it wasn't real gold, I meant the color.
Evil Uncle Bill tempting me! mmmmm...18" Sirupati!

Must...resist...another Siru...don't know how long I can last...

Well looks like you will have to get it. I just got a BAS.

You know, Dakmar, that you can never really truly experience the 18" sirupati until you compare it side-by-side to a 20" sirupati... ;)

a 25" sirupati. I've got a horn and a wood handled by Sher. Tremendous cutting power and they're not THAT heavy. Beautiful, aren't they?

Boy, you had me hook, line and sinker for a while there about the gold...whew!

I know I've missed a bunch of Christmas deals, but missing one like this would have sent me to the psych ward...

Bill = while it's generally true nearly all of my knives are honest to goodness users - I certainly wouldn't mind a nice fancy, shiny one to keep the missus content...
