Here lately I've been doing some experimenting with my Goldenstone. My Captain model which is not an easy knife to sharpen by any means is now in pretty good shape thanks to my fine grit Goldenstone.
As great of tool potential that the Goldenstone can offer as a sharpening tool for all kinds of edges tools it really baffles me as to why they don't offer it in other grits other than just the white/fine selection. I'm not really complaining as much as I am curious as to why they don't consider making them in the gray/medium grit.
Also I would buy one in a heartbeat made in "ultra-fine" grit as well. I truly do wish Spyderco would consider that.
I bet I'm not alone wanting that either. Also I would like all you guys and gals who have gotten a Goldenstone to tell us what you think about it. I haven't seen a thread on this great Spyderco sharpening tool in quite some time.
Also I do remember Sal saying that they would eventually do a video on the uses of the Goldenstone and I'm wondering when that will be done.
