I just received a Golok potong from valiantco. It is a beautiful blade. It is compact for a 10.5 inch blade overall length comes in at 15 3/4 inches. It is fast beautifully crafted and I am glad I made the purchase. Ordering was easy and updates were given. Customer service was very good. I like the work on the horn handle. Between that and the handle shape I ammleft with a secure feeling. The knife is lighter than I expected but a joy. All I can say is two thumbs up for this piece. I will certainly be ordering more from this company.

It is very lively the first task that I put it to was cutting up some cabbage and onions for dinner. It handles nicely it was not cumbersome but the angles grip offered good purchase and comfort. So far with use the only drawback is the sheath it reminds menof a mora sheath. It will not hold the blade in if I turn the sheath upside down the blade will slide out. I found this out the hard way I was swapping my tramotina bolo machete out for the potong in my truck when I fell out and hit the concrete. It chipped the edge but a arkansas whet stone and about 20 minutes took care of the chips. It holds up nicely and I was able to restore the edge so I am very happy. It will not out chop my khukri do to it's light weight but it is a good all arounder for the camp and kitchen.
