well i came on this:
http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,20349890-5005961,00.html
and then this :http://www.cnn.com/
so it is real, the "Cranky" one had passed on...

He truly lived life to the fullest ...
found beauty in all of god's creatures...
and shared it with the world ...
he will truly be missed...
may his famely and wife live with the knolage he was an inspiration to all
and i pray that god sends his messenger to assist and releave them of the greaft of missing him in the rest of this life...

I'm sad for his family, but his death doesn't surprise me much. I'd expected it to come from a snake bite. I always thought he was way too reckless dealing with them and saw many close calls in his TV shows. I will miss laughing at him. But he died as he lived, always on the edge.

Yep, it's a bummer. Just a few months ago I saw him on the tube doing something nutty. Said "someday he's gonna mis-step and get really hurt". Well, I never expected this.

Could never figure if he was stupid, brave, quick, or talented...maybe a mix of all...like most of us...takes more than one attribute to be who ya are.

Everyone is gonna go and, as Jake said, he died as he lived and, apparently, doing what he liked. Beats getting mangled in a car wreck (like Gen. Patton) I'm guessing.

Never noticed if he ever wore a fixed blade. If he had a Buckmaster 184 maybe he could've swiped off that ray tail like it was butter (my effort to keep this "Buck" related).

RIP Crikey Dude...
Goose.
