I would consider an honor for other forum members to post pictures of makers now deceased that never really got their due.
PLEASE POST AWAY.

Found this big gem on the bay not long ago, negotiated a deal, now it resides beside its engraved brother. Double lock back by WT Fuller, my friend. Gone but his work lives on.

That looks like a handful. I like the mop scales and the file-work... very nice.

Thank You, I know the steel is D2, I will update size when I get back to the knife. I got the photos before CE & CF. My son swiped it when it came in late yesterday. He WILL bring it back.

WT only had one hand, trust me, he could open any of his knives one handed. But I never tried myself. But he named it because of his accident taking his hand off.
Thanks
Jim

With his prosthetic hand, he never felt the heat from grinding, he had jigs of all sorts to attach to his arm, made them all himself, he never considered himself handicapped. But you are right, he was an amazing individual who loved to Big Game hunt, both in Montana and Africa. Amazing elephant tusks under his bed that he brought back.
A good friend. Gone, but not forgotten.

Good to have had a friend you could admire Jim. He made nice knives good you have some of his work. Thanks for posting them.

Another by WT,
Gents little folder, my wife swapped a Schnauzer puppy for this one.

Another by a friend of WT, Harvey McBurnette, WT told me once,
that Harvey could make a better guitar than a knife, of course,
that is not what Harvey was famous for.

Anyone else have knives by deceased makers that really never got credit for their work?
Jim

Interesting, very nice knife. I have been through Eagle Nest a few times on my way to Red River, Taos, Angel Fire. It's a very small community. Next time I go through I'll try to remember this Knife, and the man, Harvey McBurnette.
