So Friday I took my son and we went camping up in the mountians. It was pretty nice to get out and away from it all for a night. My son was telling me the whole time we were up there that he was having a good time (he's only 4). He was busy running around and I kept pretty busy trying to gather wood and keep the fire going with all the wet wood. It was over all a great time. I think any time spent with just me and him is a great time though.

I really didn't get as many pix as I would have wanted to, but I still grabbed a couple while I could.

So here it goes; the pictures.

I'm sorry for all the crappy pix. All I really had was my cell phone to take pix with. And it did not have any service where I was. :thumbup:
 
Looks like a hell of a good time sir. Sure is pretty country.

So glad to see you like that 9. Nice blade, huh? I hope I'll like the BK2 as much when it arrives some time next summer *grrrrrr*. Anyways, thanks for the pics, looks like you guys had a great time!
 
Thanks guys! It really is nice up here. I've traveled all around the world and this is the place that I like the best.
I'm very thankful for all the time that I get with my son and family. When I was growing up my parents were working all the time and we didn't get to do things like this.

maethor I do love the 9. I just know that you'll get that 2 in soon.
 
Smores and your little man, It dont get no better than that. Me and my little man (22 now :) ) have been talking about doing a backpacking trip pretty soon.
 
NICE!!! Nothing like camping with loved ones! I prefer that sort of quality time over any other! Beautiful looking country too!! Thanks!
 
Looks like some fatwood shavings, and perhaps some jute twine. Fire starters.
 
Good to see family time in the woods and great to know your son enjoyed himself out there as much or more than you did! Your post has me wanting my daughter to get just a little older (a parenting taboo, I know)so that she can appreciate our trips more. Right now she's about 5months old so there's not much she's capable of, but I still take her so that she can just swing be outside.

I sympathize with you on the cellphone pix, but they're good and capture the moment still. I'm bad about never having a camera but always having my phone somewhere.

I know how you feel. I wanted my little guy to grow up when he was that age so I could play with him. Now sometimes I wish he was that small again :D

It is!!! bum bum buuuuuummmmm......... no really it is. :) Do you know the movie Harry and the Henderson's? That was actually filmed not to far away from here.
 
sweet man.. that is so kewl... I neeeeeeeed so very badly to get out..... me and my son have talked about going to the ozarks lately but we cant even make it out for a little outting yet..
