Gone for a couple weeks.

Now, I know I'm just a newbie and whatnot, but I thought that you guys might like to know that I'll be gone and not able to snatch up any UBBBs or the like for a while. I'm headin' down to Mexico with a group from my church for a missions trip... We're gonna be building a couple houses, or sheds to our thinking, to house a couple families. It should be good, and I'll give ye a full report afterwards.

One problem with it... They're not letting me take any knives along. :grumpy:

No worries, mate.

There'll be plenty of knives and machettes to buy down there.


Most can be had for less than $10-15. I do recommend grabbing a few from the local markets. You'll need them for clearing brush, etc.

Have fun! One of my students last semester works with a church group that builds houses in Mexico. She found it very rewarding, and it sounded like a good deal for everyone involved.
