I have been a Spydie loyalist for years and I recently just received my first ZT. I ordered the new factory custom release and I am super impressed. I have read the advertising online but would someone please tell me how this really differs from a sprint run for ZT and how this knife is truly different from a regular or sprint run? Thanks folks.

Probably has some slightly different features, colors, or steel.

Limited editions / sprint runs/ etc are basically marketing to collectors. Scarcity creates perceived demand. Standard consumer psychological manipulation to get you to buy two or three or thirty of something when you only need one. They need to make money. They would like to have your money, so this is a way of getting money from you and like minded people.

I am guessing you are talking about the 0450FCZDP?

It's not going to cut your sandwich any different than the regular 0450, though perhaps the ZDP-189 steel used may hold an edge longer than S35VN.
