i spent several hours yesterday looking at all the different combinations, and today ive decided what i want.....today im gonna order the 501 with the 420 mirror polish, asian water buffalo with rivets, and my initials engraved in script type. this will be my first custom ordered knife.

sorry, my daughters and wife dont seem to have much interest in it so i had to share with someone.

That should be nice. I'm going to hold out until they add the 500 Duke to the list. I know they can if they just will. They're still making 500's or at least they were in 2011, so parts shouldn't be a problem.

Just went to the Buck web site and built your knife to get a picture of it. I'll look great. Pack is right. You'll find yourself checking for a delivery several times a day when it starts getting close to the date.

just placed my order...and the wait begins

just got the conformation in my e-mail account...reality is sinkin in...IM GETTING MY FIRST CUSTOM BUCK!

no need to worry about the couch... i told Mindy about ordering it, showed her what it was gonna look like, and all she said was "thats gonna be a pretty knife, are you gonna use it or put it up for safe keeping?" :eek:
now i gotta find a way to convince her the Hoodlum i ordered is gonna be pretty too :D

Woody, that's going to be a tough sell! No way that beast should be called "pretty".

Manly, studly, or awesome maybe, but pretty! Never!

Woody, you sound like the perfect candidate for BCCI Life Membership! It's possible to save to save enough on knife purchases in the first year to pay for the membership. You'll not regret it.
