What a quandry to be in Dave! Those look like they were nicely customized screw heads, I'd say it would be a shame to hide those on the back side now.

If they were the regular one, no doubt, switch them out...

But those, I'd either keep them there, or find out WHO did the mod and have them do the smooth side too!

Screws look interesting. I'm more partial to the plain screws turned though.

On another note, I was looking over all the knives TNK has in with those screws and I thought a lot of the wood looked really bland on those knives. I only found one that I liked. Most did not have all that much contrast within the grain. Just my thoughts though.

... and that's with favorable lighting of the photography setup. The colors usually are not that bright when you get your knife and view it under various normal light conditions. Turning screws around is a bit much in my view. But it won't stop me from trying it the very next time I need to give the knife a good working over.
