good .5 micron stropping compound

Hello,

I was wondering who makes a good .5 micron compound. I found some at wood carvers supply, but i wasn't sure about the quality and consistency of the paste, or the vendor for that matter. I have also seen a lot of green compounds, but they seem to have very varied reviews, and some seem to be poor quality.

I would recommend diamonds. Green compound is good, but CrO2 is not as aggressive as diamond (particularly on some of the more resistant steels).

Simply google "diamond polishing compounds 0.5" and look at the results.

I buy mine from lapidarysupplies.com (nice guy by the way), but there are numerous other sources.
