Good aftermarket Fallkniven F1 sheath?

Hey guys,

I really love my Fallkniven F1. However I absolutely despise the stock leather sheath. It is a very pretty excellent looking sheath, however it's just not my thing. If it came with the zytel or the dangler sheath, i would've probably been okay with it, but this one...No.

So, couple questions.

1.) IS the zytel strong enough that it doesn't need the snap on? Or is it kinda of necessary?

2.) Any stream lined kydex sheaths like the zytel one? I really like the compact look of the zytel, (and compact no nonsense sheaths in general.) I
don't usually find the need for lots of eyelets, and I don't like tec-loks either.

The snap on the Zytel sheath is extremely week. I epoxied mine half way down and it is still too weak. Knivesshipfree has a couple different leather sheaths for the F1. I would call them and discuss your needs. I'm sure they can fix you up.

You can sort of adjust the strength of lock on Zytel sheath with some tape. Wrap some black electrical tape around the sheath over the lock and you can make it hold knife very well. I have tried it and there is no way I can shake the knife out with this setup (no snap on necessary).
