I got a new cell phone recently (Sony Xperia X10), and the music player is kinda limited. Does anyone know a good music (or all media) player app? Free or cheap preferred of course, but I'd be willing to spend a little more if it's really good.

What features are you looking for in a music player that the default one doesn't have?

An equalizer would be nice.

And an interface that makes sense wouldn't hurt either.

You could try RockPlayer. I can't remember if it had an equalizer or not, as I don't use that feature, but I do know that the makers brag about how optimized and efficient it is. I just like it because it has a lot of compatibility for audio and video. If I recall correctly, it's free because it's still in beta. Sorry I couldn't check for you. I don't have my android phone on me right now.

ARC media is worth a shot, it's free so all you stand to lose is a few minutes of your time to uninstall it if you don't like it or if by some chance it causes FC's on your X10. It works well on my Droid 2 and supports some video formats that don't come standard with Froyo such as .avi

meridian is what i use, works well and is free.

also look into iMusic, great way to d/l free songs :)
