Good Bad Ugly Vacuum Pump?

Good runs continuously for a long time without overheating. Good also draws a high vacuum of around 28 inches.
Bad doesn't do those things.

Should we make the assumption you're planning stabilizing with this vacuum pump? If so, something like this item #B095HJSMFM on Amazon for $90 should work pretty good. Amazon also has a complete stabilizing setup complete with vacuum pot for $140 to $163 shipped with item #B089JWTFHR

Just go to the Amazon webpage and paste the item # into Amazon's search bar and do a search. The item should be listed in the search research results.

Yea I just want to end up self reliant , its like you grilling a hamburger taste better than that store bought. Both might be equal but satisfaction is what we all want to feel at the end of the day. I have a pressure pot so I want a glass vacuum vat, jar, pot. Thanks for the info.

Dennis, if you have a pressure pot, would that not work for the vacuum pot? It would be much more convenient than doing the vacuum in one pot, then moving to pressure pot. It is VERY good to have a clear pot to watch the bubbles during the vacuum stage.

A few years ago Curtis with Cactus Juice says the pressure isn't really needed with most woods that are suitable for stabilizing. BUT - since K&G uses pressure it can't be a bad thing. What is your pressure pot rated at in PSI?

Chuck, 3,000 PSI pressure was the number I was thinking I'd heard/read in the past but wasn't sure so didn't say anything. I'm with you, I don't think a couple hundred PSI is going to do much.
