Aw man so many nice things today, can't make up my mind.

I'm leaving the bonecutter for 2 hours, if it is still there I'm all over it. Time stamp 14:26 or 2:26 for you noncoms.

And then the Malla, and then the Yuvraj special knife, not necessarily in that order.

I feel better already just seeing the DOD. Makes my day everyday.

Really liking that Malla and the Gopte. I have a Gopte that is still unused, so I can't justify another.

Bawanna, my clock says 17:42/5:42, I say jump!

Ems sent for the BDC (copy paste error in my first post on my mobile - can'tt resist these! Great kitchen knife and EDC! This one's for my son.

Got the DD!

SG I'm not at a point where I can justify doubles. The exception was the AKB's. The Kumar and Lachhu versions were so dissimilar, I managed to justify both.

Hi,

I'm really excited to get my first HI.

David

Your off to a wonderful start. Both of those extremely fine choices. I might have to come down and visit for show and tell. Only couple maybe 3 hours away.

Got a good buddy up here raised in Kelso.

Bigbore, I can justify doubles. I have 2 KLVUKs, 2 Baby CAKs, and now 2 Kumar Kardas. I'll definitely get another Gopte in the future, since they're all so different, but I just couldn't justify a second before breaking in the first :)

Whoever got that BDC will be a happy camper for sure (literally). Mine is 12" 16oz and chops as well as a KLVUK, but in a more manageable size. Great for camping and hiking, when the Dui Chirra or Tamang aren't quite appropriate.

EMS on bonecutter, Sirupati and the gopte.

You can't do better than an 18" Bonecutter by Purna for $90. The 34 oz weight seems about right for a heavy chopper of this model and length.

If the "slight shrinkage of the wood handle" bothers your hand you can use a fine file and round over the steel edges (the tang is soft steel, easy to file). Tape the wood first to protect it. Alternatively, you can run a thin layer of clear epoxy along the edge where the metal meets the wood.

If this is your first khukuri, be aware that the ring around the handle takes a little getting used to, but once you learn to hold the handle properly (loose grip with the ring between two fingers) it will feel very natural.

I understand, I'm focused on getting my firsts, first.:D:thumbup:

That was me SG - a typo in my original post which I have corrected now! I have a 10 inch BDC kitchen wonder and a 12 inch 16 ounce all rounder BDC. This in-betweener at 11 inch should be sweet. The BDC has become my favourite small khuk model over all the other models that I have so far.

Gah, Bigbore, you sharked me on the mini bowie... nicely done.

Not sure I'll have the funds to buy a bowie in the batch Yangdu has in stock, as I'm trying to buy gifts for others at this point. Oh well.
