Im looking for some good Boots, Price Limit $200(canadian, $130 US).
They need to Be waterproof, Totally waterproof. Steel Toes would be nice, then i can wear them to work as well if i feel like it. High backs are a must(6" min) Also something available in black is a must, i HATE natural leather color boots. So what do you guys suggest, they will mainly be used in the field.

Nope sorry,
I currnetky have some LL.Bean Goretex leather boots that I got for a song as the store was closing down. If I had the chance to get Georgia boots i.e. If I lived inthe continental US I would buy the super boots in a flash.

You may not want to get into a discussion about shoes with me. I have about 30 pairs of boots shoes and sneakers. So I have a bit of experience. Ever since I turned "cool" at the age of 12 I wore Boots. I've got lots of boots. I had a period when I was about 25 when I started to wear sneakers. Wow did they make my feat feel good. But on those days when I was feeling a bit insecure and need to put my Boots on my feet weren't so happy anymore. I have every type of boot imaginable but my favorites are my Dr. Martens. I currently own four pairs of them. They are more durable than any work boot on the market and I have owned them all. The important thing is that they are comfortable. Some of the newer styles are a little to trendy for me but the older more traditional ones won't let you down.

Me too bro:D

Let me recommend Danner boots. I own a pair of Arcadias and they have served me well for over four years. The sole will need replacing soon and they still keep the water out.

Check out the Cabela's selection.
I bought a pair of their Cabela's Outfitter series for general purpose use in the winter.
They're comfy, very warm, relatively light weight, totally waterproof, extremely well made, and under $200.

Another vote for Danners. Got my first pair when I was in the military twenty-five years ago and have been wearing Danners for my career on the PD.

I've been wearing Danner's for just under 20 years. I'm stuck on the Acadia 8" (200 gram) and the Fort Lewis (200 Gram). My mostest favoritest. . .the Acadia !

The Acadia's are lightweight and extremely confortable.

If you're in your boots for 12+ hours a day and want to feel like you haven't worn boots (for that matter shoes) for the entire time. . .Acadia's !

Thanks for the input guys! i checked out the danners and think i will get the Arcadia's they are a little more than i was going to spend but with all the recomendations they cant be that bad :) Its either them or the Rocky Eliminator's. How are the rocky's?

Rifter, DANNERS!!
They will long outlast the Rocky's. I have own both. My department gives me a pair Rocky's every year, but I still buy Danners.

Ok then :) i guess i'll buy the danners. Anyone know of any canadian websites that carry them?

Quick question, im going to get danner's, i have it down to the Trooper II or Acadia's, which one is better and why?

Check out 3 Vets in Vancouver. They have a good selection of Danners. I picked up a pair of Explorers on sale for a really good price.

I would definitly go with Danners. I owned a pair of Rocky Eliminators and the Danners have exceded them by 3 years. Seriosly, if want some excelent boots, get Danners Arcadias.

Another vote for hte Danner's!
I have been wearing Danner 8" Arcadia's for 10 years, insulated and the uninsulated, they are Cadillac's for the feet. Buy the best and only cry once.

This is the best pair of boot I have found, everything you asked for except color. Wolverine #1731
Do a search on Google for them and it will turn up quite a bit of info.
