Where can I pick up a good canvas sheath that would fit a FFBM? Which ones/brands/configs do you prefer?

TIA

Bump, the only canvas ones I can find aren't long enough. Anyone??

I am not sure about canvas sheaths, but I believe that the scrap yard nylon sheaths that were made for the Dogfather fit the FFBM pretty well. I think they were around 20.00. You might try putting an ad in the WTB forum maybe someone bought an extra and will sell it.

Good luck.

I didn't respond earlier because I didn't think I had a good answer, but My FBM LE will not fit in a Dog Father Sheath. The blade is too thick.

The FFBM is just as thick as an LE and it's saber ground which means there is a wider thick section than an FBM LE.

I don't think the Dog Father sheath will work without at least a new liner.

If you make a new liner it will probably work and it will still be fairly inexpensive, but it's not a drop in fit.

Wash is right. I just tried to put my FFBM in the Nylon Dogfather sheath and it is a no go, it is too fat. I dont know how hard it would be to alter the liner, as I havent taken mine out of the sheath.

Sorry Oilman, bad advice.:o

My CG didn't even fit without taking the top off of the liner. Seems like that might work too for the fat . . . ?

My LE would slide in a few inches, but there was more resistance than I like.

I didn't want to scratch up the satin finish just to keep it in a cheap sheath. Also, drawing the knife would probably pull the liner out of the sheath before the blade came out of the liner.

Lastly, the LE is a taller blade from the edge to the spine and I think that contributed to the poor fit. I don't know if the FFBM has the same issue.
