I found the perfect fixed blade beater. The Buck Diamondback. I bought the small DB at our local Walmart for $15, one hell of a value. It has a comfortable grip and the blade is has a good utility shape to it. The only thing I don't like is the sheath. I tried IWB, but that was too uncomfortable. I ended up cutting a slit at the top of my boot and two little slits 5" from the top. The velcro belt loop goes in the top slit and a flexi-cuff goes in the two smaller slits to anchor the sheath down. Altogether, it makes a great single edge, disposable boot knife.

Allen, that Improvie Adapt Overcome made me think of Clint Eastwood in Heartbrake Ridge.
