Any suggestions for a knife that has a full size (3.0 - 4.0 inch blade) which is a super fast assisted opening knife, and comes in something other than a Tanto style blade?

I bought a Kershaw blur for a friend, and was REALLY impressed! I can't recommend it enough.

+1 Benchmade nitrous stryker. Super fast open a lot of torque, It's my work EDC

CRKT folding Hissatsu.

Their Crawford M-4 has the same mechanism in a much more traditional-looking knife.

Benchmade Stryker! The 913 is a spear point blade.
You could also look at the ZT 300, 301, or 301.
So for in my experience those two have the best firing AO system. I think the Stryker is just a tad faster then the ZT.

Kershaw Blur, affordable, durable and fast.

The others mentioned are very good, just more expensive.

the only assisted open knife i own is a kershaw leek, and it only has a 3inch blade, but i would really recommend it.

You wont be disappointed in the Benchmade stryker. I love mine to death. Wicked fast, and opens with authority. Comfortable in the hand, nice blade steel, Nice weight, fits in the pocket well, large, but not ridiculously large...

cant go wrong.

ZT0400. Tanto, S30V, tip up/down options, great ergos, quick to open with the almight flipper, and you can get one to your door under $120.

Best Ive found yet, and it blows the Nitrous Stryker out of the water (I own both).
