Good Custom slipjoint maker

I agree. Rick makes a great knife for a very reasonable price. I have a Serpentine Trapper which is shown on the Makers Forums. I also have his Okra model which is a modified pruner style folder.. This Serpentine Trapper is one fine folder and is RAZOR SHARP!!! yopu can email him at Rmen@pldi.net

The list of excellent makers is, happily, getting longer.

Aside from Rick Menefee (an excellent choice by the way) and the very modest Rusty McDonald, other excellent makers to consider contacting would be (in no particular order):

Prices and waiting times will vary greatly by maker but all of the above are excellent makers whose work you would no doubt be proud to own and are worth researching and/or contacting.

Though I'm not sure if he's doing two bladers, I'll add our own Brent Cramer to the list as someone worth contacting.
 
Well i stopped buying fixed blades after i bought a burt foster. I stopped buying folders after my rick hinderer xm 18. i hope to no longer buy slip joints after this order. i have used them all in deployment as well! Just like jack knife only needed a small folder, same goes for me in the army.
 
I would toss Richard Rogers in also. I consider him a top shelf maker.

Blue's list is a good one. It would be hard for me to just pick on since so many of those guys are friends. You could not go wrong from any of the folks mentioned in this thread.

As far as a knife strictly being Bose style. Tony shares everything including his patterns with many makers (if not any maker that asks.) ;).

Cool, assuming he doesn't want all the money now I can get on his list, stash a few bucks every week and my wife will NEVER actually know how much I spent.
