I called SOG customer service to inquire about the steel of my Spec Elite I. I saw on the site it is listed as VG10 but several reviews and SOG blog said the older ones were AUS8. I talked to a very knowledgeable lady who gave me a straight answer and was very helpful. This is the first time I have had to call SOG.
