I went to the gunshow to see a couple knife pushers and snag some .38 Spl ammo. I was in a bit of a dilemma because I couldn't decide whether I wanted a Balisong or an otf auto. Enter my favorite knife dealer. He has a big selection of high end knives from CRK, Microtech, Benchmade, Esee, etc. His prices are usually about what I can get things for online too so it saves me shipping. He had a Spyderco Small Fly which I just love but didn't want for a first bali because I want to learn to flip and wanted a full size knife. He had a bunch from Bradley, Benchmade and a few less expensive ones from Bear. For autos, he had the BM Infidel, HK Epidemic, Protechs and an assortment of Microtechs just to name a bit of his selection. Well, after some wheeling and dealing and a trade I ended up with these:

I am one happy camper. I am absolutely in love with the MT. I got to feel it side by side with the HK Epidemic which was the other one I was looking at and the MT just felt so much better in the hand. I got a much more solid feeling from it. It fires with authority! Please feel free to share your good deals of late!

Thanks! There were actually a lot of knife dealers there today. I even got to handle an Echelon, would've bought it but I wasn't about to pay his silly asking price.

I have not yet had an opportunity to handle the HK Epidemic, but I've seen the HK Tumult as well as several other premium brands of D/A OTF, and nothing compares to Microtech. I hate the company, but they do make the best D/A OTFs.

I don't much care for their business tactics but as far as da autos go they are top of the heap. So far I really like the UT. Even made a nice lanyard for it.
